I am a graduate of Elkmont High School. I attended Calhoun Community College before attending Athens State University where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Later, I attended Alabama A & M University and earned a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
This is my twenty-third year to teach in Limestone County. My first three years were spent at Clements High School where I taught Title 1 Fifth Grade, Basic First and first grade. I transferred to Ardmore where I taught Kindergarten two years and then moved to 1st grade. Currently, I teach first grade at Cedar Hill Elementary.
I have been married to Eddie Shores for 36 years. We have 2 sons, Brennen and Jacob, a daughter-in-law, Melissa, and 4 grandchildren Addie, Claire, Rachel, and Nate. We make our home in the Pettusville Community. Our family attends church at Hollands Gin Church of Christ. I enjoy bike riding, canoeing, and spending time with my family.
