On behalf of the PTO, we would like to welcome everyone back to school. You ask what is PTO? PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization, consisting of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all students. We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and funding. Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and to benefit the school. To meet this important objective, we fundraise. Here are a few programs that we sponsor and/or support: Box Top Collection, Playground Brick Sales, Open House, Tattoo Sales, Fall Festival, Carnival, Teacher Appreciation, and Field Day. As you can see, we are a small and busy group. This is where you can come in! We need your help, and so do your child(ren). We are in need of growth and are seeking volunteers to continue re-establishing the organization. We have planned some exciting events this year in hopes to get more parents involved in their children’s education. The PTO is a team effort in which we cannot succeed on our own. Membership is 5.00 per year per person or $25.00 for a lifetime membership per person. Please join us the second Monday of each month where we will be discussing and voting on various school items. If you sign up and pay for your membership by next Wednesday, August 10, 2016, you will be entered into a drawing for a YETI cup. Please send in the attached form along with your fee in an envelope marked PTO. We hope this will be a great school year and look forward to getting to know you!
