Welcome to the Cedar Hill Elementary Guidance Program! Our counseling program, in accordance with the Limestone County Counseling Program, is a comprehensive program designed to help students through and prepare them for challenges and adversities. The goal of the Cedar Hill Counseling Program is to make students successful learners and leaders in their community.
Counseling services provided at Cedar Hill include: individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom group counseling. The counselor sees all students twice a month in a classroom group setting to focus on four essential areas: personal development, educational development, social development, and career development. We cover a variety of issues including: anger management, career goals, bullying, positive self-image, friendship, social skills, and test prep.
Small group counseling and Individual counseling can cover a variety of topics including: grief, divorce, friendship, and social skills. Students may be referred by a staff member or parent for small group or individual counseling.
The counselor works closely with the teachers, students, and parents to insure each child is having the most successful and productive year possible. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's development or education, please schedule a conference with your child's teacher, the administration, or the counselor.
We are looking forward to having a wonderful school year!
